4-H Muzzleloading Workshop 3/15/15
4-H Shooting Sports
Branchport Rod & Gun Club
This spring, Branchport R & G will become the new home of Yates County 4-H Shooting Sports. This program is open to all youth, ages 9 and above, and is designed to teach fundamentals in archery, air pistol, air rifle, skeet, trap, muzzle loading, and hunting. The youth will receive instruction from 4-H certified instructors and will also receive information about responsible, natural resource management and fun topics such as GPS use, animal track identification, and pheasant raising, The youth will also have the opportunity to complete projects (such as hunting knives, shooting seats, bow quivers) that they may show at the local and state fairs Most importantly, it will be fun! We are very fortunate to have a group of instructors and volunteers who genuinely like kids, and are eager to pass on their love of shooting sports to the next generation. We have received extremely generous financial and material support from the good people at SCOPE, NRA, Sportsman’s Federation, and of course, Branchport Rod & Gun Club.
